Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Orders

Why do some products cost more on the website than at local events?

The increased price on the website is due to shipping costs, as the items are hand-shipped. This is also due to limitations in some product availability and the stock of specific charms.

Can I request a custom order?

Yes! Please contact me directly about available supplies (this includes jewelry and art.)

How much are custom orders?

This depends on what is preferred and what supplies are needed. However, if supplies are in stock, it will be similar to the pricing of regular items.

Do you have a physical store location?

Not at this time, however, I do regularly participate in local events, and meet clients or customers in public areas where they can shop outside of the site. As SDA expands, a physical location may be determined.

Shipping & Payments

How long does it take for orders to ship?

Orders will be shipped via mail within 3-5 business days, sometimes sooner.

Are payment plans offered?

Customers can select the Klarna option upon check out, which allows you to pay in installments.

Can I return an item and get a refund?

Returns are allowed within two weeks of receiving an item and can be sent directly back to the return address on the shipping label. A refund will be processed.

Products

Where do the charms come from?

Charms come from a few different retailers, including online wholesale and some are hand selected at craft locations.

Why are some bracelet collections different in style?

This is due to the availability of stock. This means the styles can be adjustable, clasp, etc. For questions on specific bracelets or collections and selecting a bracelet type or color you do not see listed, please contact me directly and I can review the current bangle bracelet stock.

Are products hand-made?

All jewelry pieces are handmade. Charms are not created by hand, but bracelets, earrings, and any other jewelry is made by hand using specific tools. Beaded bracelets are hand-strung. All painted items are handmade, or custom ordered.

Is the jewelry real gold?

Currently, there are no real gold items. If some items on the site become available in real gold, it will be listed in the product description.

Are paintings sealed?

All acrylic paintings are sealed with either spray or liquid Mod Podge. Watercolor paintings are not sealed as they are created on paper.

Paint Nights, Jewelry Workshops & Events

How far in advance do I need to cancel a paint night or jewelry workshop?

As soon as possible is preferred so that spot can be filled. A week is preferred but I understand things come up! The standard is 48 hours.

Do I need to put down a deposit for paint nights or jewelry workshops?

A deposit of $50 is only requested when there is a group of 25 or more attendees anticipated. If you are not able to readily fulfill that, please contact me directly so we can discuss options!

Is there a payment option for paint nights and jewelry workshops?

Yes, clients can either use Venmo, card, check, or cash. Venmo, cash or check is preferred.

Is there an age limit for paint nights and jewelry workshops?

This depends on the venue. For sip and paints, there will likely be alcohol present. It is also typically determined by the venue (if they allow alcohol consumption at their location for the event.) Jewelry workshops typically do not have alcohol; however, this is a case-by-case basis. Aside from alcoholic beverages being present, paint nights and workshops do not have an age limit. For any children present, it is strongly recommended to have a parent or guardian help them through the event, as to not consume paint or any small pieces of jewelry.

Can I book a paint night or workshop for random events such as birthdays or company get-togethers?

Yes, absolutely! You can either book online and describe the details of your event in the booking form or reach out to me directly where we can further discuss.

How much is it to book paint night?

This depends on the number of attendees, location, and supplies needed. You will be contacted directly if you submit a form, so that we can discuss it further. You may also contact me directly to review what would be needed.

Will you travel for paint nights?

I am located in Salem, Massachusetts, where I often do local events. However, I am willing to do light travel (anything over an hour from Salem, MA., please contact me directly.)

Career Services & Education

How do I book a session for resume building and/or review?

You may call, text, or email the contact information on my site to schedule a session and review what specific services you are looking for. The creation of a booking form is in process. This is typically just one session for an hour, however, you are welcome to schedule as many as you’d like. For an additional cost, special resume designs are available outside of the standard Word document.

What subjects do you tutor?

Most areas of English and Communications, including reading comprehension, writing (poetry, creative, essays, etc.), test preparation (including SAT and ACT), spelling & grammar, public speaking, and literature analysis.

Which grades are available for tutoring?

While I have experience tutoring every grade, including higher education, I typically tutor older groups, such as college level in Liberal Arts subjects. For other grades, please contact me directly.

What is included in career preparation sessions?

These are 1-hour sessions (as many as you’d like to schedule) where we review resumes, skills, career goals, job applications, and create a strategy for completing your goals.

Partnerships & Consignment

How do you partner with local businesses?

I meet with the business at their location where I share work samples, and we discuss the logistics of the partnership. My typical consignment collaborations include the business purchasing a bulk order, and selling the item at their location for a slightly marked-up price.

Are you currently taking on new partnerships?

Yes! Contact me directly to further discuss if you are interested in collaborating or establishing a more long-term partnership.

Are you hiring?

Not at this time, however, as SDA continues to grow, adding team members is a goal.
